I'm on holyday and so decided to take a look at DA again, how many unread journals! how many pictures to see from friends!!!!
Meanwhile I'm trying to get my hands on Photoshop+lightroom, I know they are overkill to an hobbyst like me but it seems the university has something like a campus agreement that might allow me to buy the whole adobe things for a ridicolous amount: possibily the first real advantage of being a contract professor!
I must also say that DA should take a move and change its policy: Flickr is becoming more and more interesting every day (I do like too much geotagging!!!) (my flickr account)
I also had an interesting discussion with a friend about color faithfulness with digital vs. film. So i browsed around and discovered the incredible world of ICC color profiles.
The good point is that the 350D has a huge color space, but you soubl be shooting raw (I do always do it)
The bad point is that printing services are almost 100% limites to JPG+sRGB color space. I just found one that will allow JPEG+AdobeRGB and will try it (12print.it just in case you want to know...)
